Friday we had an appointment at the Plastics 4 Performance headquarters for a business review and to talk through our future business plans together. All in all we had a superb visit, we got the complete factory tour. And discussed our future collaboration, i’m very proud to announce that i’ve become the Dutch distrubuter and i am going to push the products towards the Dutch market.
It all starts with making the mould off the standard glass, as this is a very special process we couldn’t take pictures. After that it all starts cutting the lexan to the appropriate size:
After the cutting process all thermoformed kits go in a big oven to be formed overnight. All windows are formed so they have an OEM fitment, so they are easy to fit with Sikaflex or in the original rubber seals. Then if the customer chooses black OEM borders are applied with a special paint type to give the factory finish. A short video of the production process is in our youtube account: R-developments
