EK20A Progress

progress08 Today we worked some more on the car, luckily this time we made more progress and we didn’t have too much setbacks like last time. At around 10:00 Kel @ Ape garage arrived to start working on the car. But first i forced him to look at my new Motordrive seat, which i collected last week when i was in the UK. Allan & Mel @ Motordrive did a great job making me a custom seat with my own embroidery in the headrest. The seat is made out of a Kevlar / Carbon hybrid material. With an outer layer of Carbon to match the different parts on my car.

More on the Motordrive seats will follow shortly as i became Distributer of their range for the Netherlands. After we Picked up the Clutch @ Jochem we started pre assembling the Engine to be Mounted in the car. We received loads of parts from Bas @ K-tuned as the first dealer of K Tuned in the Netherlands (many thnxs!), so we had our work cut our for today. The parts we mounted:

  • R-developments lightweight flywheel
  • Helix stage 3 Clutch and uprated pressure plate
  • R-developments modified RBC manifold with 70mm R-developments Throttle body
  • K Tuned Waterpump blockoff plate (for the electric waterpump)
  • K Tuned Upper filler neck with Rad cap
  • K Tuned Fuel rail with centre fit Fuel pressure gauge
  • K tuned coil pack cover
  • K Tuned Iacv blockoff plate
  • K Tuned Heater hose delete
  • R-developments K series engine bolt kit

Program for next time: Gearbox fitting, engine fitting, alligning the drive shafts, install front brakes start and drive :mrgreen: . More progress soon!
